ORDERING
Orders may be placed by telephone, fax, e-mail or postal service.
Prior authorization is not necessary for sending duds (used
tubes).
When sending used tubes for rebuilding, please include your
station’s call letters or firm name, shipping address,
mailing address, telephone number, fax number, contact person,
and a brief note to describe the work desired. DO NOT USE THE
U.S. POSTAL SERVICE or MOTOR FREIGHT when sending duds. In emergencies,
orders can be expedited.
Klystrons shipments can be arranged through our preferred carrier.
Please call us to arrange shipment. DO NOT USE MOTOR FREIGHT
TO SHIP KLYSTRONS.
Duds (used tubes) being sent should be packed in the original
shipping container. If the original carton is unavailable, please
contact our Customer Service Department and containers will
be supplied at no cost. All customers are notified in writing
via fax or e-mail of the condition of their used tube BEFORE
work is begun.
Some tubes are lost in processing, therefore WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE
THAT EVERY DUD SENT TO US CAN BE SUCCESSFULLY REBUILT. We assume
no responsibility or liability for loss of tubes in processing.
Duds that are not rebuildable may be returned upon request within
30 days.
ACCOUNTS
Terms of payment to qualified applicants are 2%/10 Net 30 Days
from the invoice date. Customers desiring an open account should
request a credit application.
BUYERS NOT PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR OPEN ACCOUNT MAY SEND A
CHECK AND WAIT FOR IT TO CLEAR OR AGREE TO ACCEPT TERMS OF C.O.D.
CASHIER’S CHECK OR CERTIFIED FUNDS, OR CHARGE THE PURCHASE
ON VISA OR MASTERCARD.
DELIVERY
Normal turnaround time is ten to fifteen working days for most
tubes. Orders can be expedited in emergencies
TUBES DAMAGED IN SHIPMENT
DO NOT RETURN TUBES WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION FROM US OR
THE CARRIER. IF A TUBE IS DAMAGED DURING SHIPMENT, IT SHOULD
BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO THE CARRIER SO A CLAIM CAN BE FILED
AND FREELAND PRODUCTS, INC. SHOULD BE ADVISED THAT A CLAIM HAS
BEEN FILED. Assistance can be rendered in filing a claim
PERFORMANCE
Grid emission and other minor variations in tubes, may show
a performance variation in some transmitters. Any tube that
is not within tolerance of adjustment for your transmitter or
which does not perform to your satisfaction may be returned
(UPON PRIOR AUTHORIZATION) for replacement. A replacement tube
will be shipped promptly providing the returned tube has not
been damaged.
SHIPPING
All tubes are tested prior to shipment and are shipped insured
F.O.B. our plant via U.P.S. ground freight service unless otherwise
specified. Freeland Products, Inc. pays U.P.S. ground freight
service and insurance to any point in the Continental United
States. Custom charges and air service charges are the responsibility
of the customer.
Upon receipt, a tube should be visually examined for external
damage and ohmmeter tested for internal damage. As soon as it
is convenient, the tube should be transmitter tested before
storing. Please remember to keep the original shipping container
to return used tubes for rebuilding.
If the tube is purchased as a spare, test it upon receipt.
After testing, notify Freeland Products, Inc. that the tube
is a spare. Customer records will be noted. Upon installation
of the tube, contact Freeland Products, Inc. and the warranty
period will be activated from the date of installation.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
In an effort to continually meet the needs of our customers,
Freeland Products, Inc. will appraise for rebuilding, tube types
which do not appear on our price list. With an available dud
and/or original manufacturing specifications our technicians
can analyze the characteristics, and evaluate the feasibility
of restoring the used tube. For expediency, fax the tube specifications
to Freeland Products, Inc. for review.
